North Cobb High School is a public high school located north of Atlanta in Kennesaw, Georgia. It serves approximately 2900 students in the Cobb County School District, in grades 9-12. The school mascot is the warrior and the school colors are navy blue and orange. North Cobb is the 2nd largest school in the Cobb County School District. North Cobb was established in 1958, replacing Acworth High School, and is one of the oldest high schools in Cobb County. They have several awards in numerous competitions both athletic and academic alike. North Cobb has, as of 2006, become the county's only Social Studies and Science magnet program. It is designated as North Cobb's School for International Studies. North Cobb also houses an on campus preschool, which provides students interested in pursuing the Early Childhood Education field experience. North Cobb has the Advanced Placement Course programs offering courses such as AP Human Geography, AP Language, AP United States History, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP European History, AP United States Government and AP Environmental Science.
